CLASS UPDATE

Holidays: The class is learning about some winter holidays and their history. (Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas and Saturnalia/Winter Solstice)

Hour of Code- Next week our class will participate in Coding together during math time!

Poetry Recital:
Parents are invited on Wednesday at 945am for our recital. Students will be dressed up in their ugly sweaters/holiday colors to present their 3 poems to the class. This will be followed by a little cafe with cider and treats. There will be a brief intermission for their recess to get out the wiggles. This later time start is due to the Holiday Singalong in the morning.

On Thursday we will have our small class party at 11:40-12:15 (Games)
12:55-White Elephant gift exchange. Students should get some present under $15 by next Thursday that either a boy or girl would enjoy.

Over the break students will have a  few optional projects to work on if they desire, which aren't due until February. (Environmental Pollution Slide Show/Speech, Pizza Book Project)

Progress Reports will go home on Wednesday so you can check in on your child's progress thus far in the 2nd trimester. (40% of total days)

I am SO GLAD to share that our progress on the MAP test that we took this week was off the charts. Our class is learning at high levels with depth. Let's keep this going the second half of the year. Thank you for all of your support on this learning journey.
