Dear Parents,
*This week we have our field trip on Friday, October 19th. For those that are driving, I need you to have all your insurance forms filled out in the office by Wednesday. We will be leaving at 7:55 so please be on time if you are a chaperone, or driver. I will provide directions to the parking structures in downtown San Jose. Please bring your ticket they give you and the Tech validates a portion of the parking fee.

*Also, our class did very well overall on the Science test averaging an 81%!

*Grading-From now on I will be giving number grades on assignments instead of letter grades to align with the report cards.

CLASS UPDATE
In reading we started a new story entitle "La Bamba" from the reading anthology in HM. It is a wonderful story about a boy in a talent show. We listened to La Bamba and Oh Donna and will see a Youtube video of this amazing musician

In Writing we start our "Spooky Stories" where we learn to use dialog and similes

In American History we are learning about the original colonies starting with the Spanish Colonies. Our Spelling Vocabulary comes from Social Studies this week.

In Math we will be wrapping up our Unit on Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Common and uncommon Denominators. On Tuesday we will have a test.
