Room 12 Update
* Our class will be finishing the Sign of the Beaver this week together with our vocabulary and spelling words all coming from the book. Also, I handed out an extra-credit assignment that will be due this coming Friday, September 30th. Each child will make a bow and arrow and bring them to share on Friday. Please make sure that they are in bags. Obviously, they can not take them out at recess.
* We will also choose new articles for our News Team Groups. Our first presentations were exceptional with really good eye contact, voice and volume. The commercials were hilarious! Their practice paid off.
* In HM Mathematics we will wrap our Chapter 3 studying Place Value, Standard Form, Expanded Form with Exponents
* In American History we are finishing up our Unit of Study about the Explorers. In the computer lab we are using the "Pages" application and each child is creating their own Explorer Brochure about one they chose last week. The study guide will be posted this Thursday, September 29th and we will take our first test next Thursday, October 6th.
* Finally, in writing our class will finish our final drafts of the "Frustrations" Essay.

That's it for now! See in the class where we use our hearts and minds well.

Mr. Sweet
