WEEK 2-August 27th-31st

Class Update!
Hello Room 12 Parents and Students,
This week our class has kicked off our study of "Nature's Fury" by reading a story entitled Earthquake Terror. Our ELA wkbk pages connect to the this story and will be done, both at home, and in class.
In writing our class has started our 5 paragraph essays about our summer and they look great thus far. The class seems to have a good understanding of organization and structure in their writing.
In Math we are working with number lines, understanding and comparing fractions and mixed numbers. Today we are looking into equivalent fractions and how they relate to each other. See the math lesson review links to follow up at home
In American History we have kicked off our Unit of Study on Explorers. It will be exciting as we study the great explorers throughout our history.
