WEEK 2 August 21-25th

Dear Parents and Students of Room 20,

Welcome back to our second week together in Room 20! Normally I will not send many e-mails, but communicate to students and parents through the website here: http://mrsweetriodelmar.blogspot.com

Here is a quick update about our learning adventures...

Reading-We are reading Chapters 5-10 this week and doing comprehension activities.

Writing-6th graders are continuing to gather ideas for narrative writing topics

Spelling/Vocabulary- We learned 21 new words from our reading. Students will learn the spelling and the meanings. Our virtue of the week is perseverance. 

History-We are learning about Early Humans and Pre-Historical Times. In addition, we are learning all of the countries in Africa.

In Math we are working on Exponents and Order of Operations along with Prime Factorization 

iGrades-On Friday I sent out invitations to all of you to get access to the online gradebook. If you cannot find it, check your junk mail. If you still can't find it, let me know and I will resend the invite. Please remember to give the email and password you use to your child so they can look at their grades, as well.
