Room 12 Update
* Our Heritage Power Point Projects have been amazing! I am so proud of their speaking skills, integration of technology skills and extensive research and interviews. They learned so much about their families and roots! I loved the stories, sayings and amazing pics too.

* We will be doing CST Testing starting Tuesday, April 30th. 5th grade does ELA, Math and Science. PLEASE make sure your child shows up each day on time, well rested and fed healthy meals. We will finish our last section on Wednesday, May 8th. Please make sure your child brings a couple books to read during testing so they have something quiet to do after finishing. Our class has worked really hard to learn the standards in 5th grade and I would love to see each student give it all they got and achieve even higher than last year!

* In Science we are learning about Weather along with some review to prepare for CST. Many standards reviewed on CST were from 4th grade so hopefully they learned about Magnetism, Electricity, Photosynthesis and Rocks and Minerals!

* In writing we will be finishing our final drafts of our Persuasive Essays in class.

* At the computer lab we are researching a Famous Medieval individual. We are also doing a portrait of our person using the Internet images to help guide our finals.

* Students should be working on their Science Projects at home because they are due on  Tuesday, May 14th.

* Very important: students need to listen to the Constitution play cd and sing along with their words from their script. Most of the class is not really singing the songs, nor have they practiced at home. If our class don't sing we will not be able to the play...it is a MUSICAL ;-)
We are doing pretty well with our lines

* No Math, Spelling, Vocab, DLR, or Reading homework!

That is it for now!
P.S. If anybody wants to bring gum for the class during testing that would be great!
