WEEK OF DECEMBER 7-11th

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SPELLING BEE CHAMPIONS!

CAMERON AND DEJANAE!

CLASS UPDATE

Reading-This week in RTI we will be learning about the amazing Paul Revere and his important role in the American Revolution. Our reading skill is understanding Author's Viewpoint. Also, our class is watching portions of John Adams on Fridays to further our understanding of this significant time in our country's formation.

Writing-Wow! This class has been writing some sensational poems. We will be finishing up our Winter Free Verse Poems and learning how to write acrostics, couplets, opinion poems and food poems. The poetry recital is on Thursday, December 17th at 10:20am.

Science-We will finish and take our Periodic Table Unit Assessment this Thursday. Students started their Quizlet utilizing the study guide. I encourage students to study hard as it is a challenging test. There won't be much homework next week to give students time to do so.

Math-We will be finishing up our unit of study on adding and subtracting fractions.

Holiday History-We continue to learn about winter holidays this week by learning about Kwanzaa!

Progress Reports will go home on Friday, December 18th.
